I Beat The Heat w/Good Silver Day

A few hours at an old abandoned church in 98 degree heat proved to be worth while, as far as silver goes.
The unknown old valve looking item was about 8" down and E-Trac Ohio posted one today almost identical that he found at a church so it must be a religious item.
Two generations of silver quarters (1960 and 1925) and 2 generations of dimes(1916 Barber and two Mercs 1943 & 1945) a sterling silver ring and a sterling silver doctors bag with the name Lloyd Bergman, Ft Worth, Texas inscribed on it. Also found were 7 wheat pennies.(not shown) I think I sweated off 10 lbs. today.

Wow you did awesome! Congrats! The valve you found has nothing to do with religion, it is a gas light valve, I have found some very fancy ones. A couple I donated to my local museum and they put them in a display

What a great hunt! Thanks for posting.

Great silver day! Were they that clean or did you polish them up?

Cleaned up the silver bag and the 1960 quarter The others were pretty much like you see them.

Awesome hunt! That Barber looks to be in great shape, love those Barbers. I've never found a standing liberty before, but my girlfriend found a nice 1925 Saturday. Congrats on a great silver hunt.
