I can't believe my little old dime is a find of the month!

Just as a FYI here is my original testimonial as I wrote it. It was edited to fit in "The Searcher."

I purchased my first modern metal detector in 1999 and used it about five or six times a year. I managed to accumulate around 500 coins and a few rings. When it stopped working, I shopped around for a new detector and was extremely fortunate to be directed to Garrett, specifically, to an ACE 250. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The ACE 250 was easier to operate than my old detector and it made finding coins so quick and easy. My apartment quickly began to overflow with treasure. I was, and remain, officially hooked! I used it all summer long, 3 or 4 times a week, and found just over 3000 coins along with a small pile of gold and silver rings. As fall began, I sold the gold rings, cleaned and wrapped the clad, and used the proceeds to purchase a GTI 2500. It took me around two weeks to get familiar with the differences between the two machines and I now use my

Welcome to super stardom. Good luck walking the streets or going to the grocery store. You might want to take some of those coins and hire a body gaurd.:bouncy:

Don't short change yourself Chris, You earned that prize.

Yep, you're a Garrett star now Chis. That was some serious digging there and
a whole lot of coins. WTG Chis, you certainly deserve the recognition.

Nice job Chris!!!! We both made it in there!!! I was pretty excited when that package came in and it was a Garrett hat and book!!! Best part was seeing my story in there, and of course finding that half cent was the best part of all. Again, great job!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed all the testimonials, yours included. When they started giving away stuff for submissions I had submitted a US gold coin (in bezel) and thought it might be the find of the issue and score me a Pro-Pointer. It wasn't and I got a hat and some other goodies. I was still most pleased. This time I submit a dirty old clad dime and get the Pro-Pointer. I guess it was the story not the find. Live and learn. Luck doesn't hurt either. I really like seeing my finds included in The Searcher along side so many other great treasure hunters. Must be ego.

I have an idea for a good spring submission but I think I'll wait a while now.

Chris

I tried to post a "find " story on their site and it would not let me. Said my jpegs were more than likley too big. But they are not. I fianally gave up. All I want is a hat. I could use a hat.
