Two nights this week with the LTD have been good to me. I'm still learning this machine but it's a pleasant learning experience for sure!! Old ballfield close to home that has never given up these types of coins in the past but I bet there is more in my future!!
I have been running BP, disc 21, sensitivity between 65 and 70 and 4 tones.

Happy Hunting!!

Dave... those are nice finds....how do you like the backlight on the ltd?......hh.....God Bless.....Dan

Dave...how deep were these coins?....The ltd will go after them for sure.

Thanks for looking guys!! The walker was the deepest of the bunch it was a solid 7" and trust me when I say it "blew my ears off"...it was by far the loudest, sweetest tone I have ever had come through my earphones! The V nickel, the wheat and the indians were all right around the 6" mark and there was very, very little wavering in the either the signal or the VDI on all these targets. As of today I have a total of about 36 hours on the LTD and I am running rather conservative on the settings to ease mental fatigue but I have already been convinced that when a coin is under that coil the "jumpy" goes away and she goes into lock-on mode!!

Great stuff!

I just thought I'd let you know that these are the exact same settings I use. I was out for the first time this week as the ground is soaked and was pulling stuff 14-16" deep. I love it. These settings work perfectly here in SW Pa.

Wow Chip!! 14 to 16" :surprised: What did you hit at that depth and what kind of signals did you get? I'm wondering if I'm being too lazy in my efforts and walking by too many "one way" or wavering signals.

Unfortunately it was pulleys, and small pieces of iron and metal. I pulled an early wheatie at 8", banged loud and clear. There were some deeper items, but I was doing a yard of a 200 year old home and didn't want to make a mess. Will be going back to see whats there. Several acres of cleared ground around the house to hunt.
