I consider myself "Lucky"..................................why ?

New member
I found the perfect detector for "Me"

The T2 6.5 I find it plenty deep enough.
Easy to operate. Light weight all day swinging if I care to..
Rock solid Id..for a metered machine.
Enough control changes to keep it interesting.
Same performance no matter where I use it
It put the fun back in detecting for me.

Oh, and some really good at depth finds.. so for me..it's the best one..and I am Lucky I tried it.

I'm sure you feel the same way about a certain detector........ if you do not..keep looking till you do. It makes a difference.

You are a lucky man, and all of us who detect are lucky to have such an enjoyable hobby and the good health to pursue it.

Always a pleasure to read your posts, Elton. Glad you have found your perfect detector and are having so much fun!

Elton, you are lucky...but your luck comes to you through your own nature, attitude and acceptance. This also comes through in your posts. Your maturity allows you to be happy with what you are achieving and what you hope to achieve in detecting, and it seems that this is also part of your good nature. Some people never achieve what you have, and so this makes you "lucky", but your luck does not come by chance. A good nature is something which is innate. To be happy and content with what we have is something most of us search for, sometimes all of our lives. Fortunately, we have a hobby where we can be completely at peace on one hand, but continually striving for new goals on the other. In that way, we can all be "lucky". I hope you have a Merry Christmas, with a happy New Year.

Elton----I'm really happy for you & would consider you Blessed by God in finding the perfect detector (for you).----You have the skill, knowledge & ability to "bring it all together" with the T2 and that's just great.------God Bless & Merry Christmas to you and everyone reading this.----------Del

You know, I consider myself lucky, too, for having gotten to know you through these forums. This really is a great hobby and to have faith in ones detector(s) just makes it even more so. HH jim tn

Elton, after trying them all, my search for the perfect detector is nearly finished. I have spent a ton of money looking, but it was not wasted money or time. These forums are a wealth of knowledge and great people who help anyone. Most of my detector purchases have been used from the many classified forums around the web and most of the people are not trying to get rich buying and selling. If someone gave them a good deal, they pass that deal on to the next buyer. By not being greedy, we can all try a detector or two. The trouble I am seeing is when a new detector comes out, the internet allows me to read and now watch videos of these new detectors. This is WAY too tempting for me. I started detecting in 1996 and one of my original buddies bought an XLT. 14 years later he still owns and uses that detector. His collection is worth thousands of dollars and he knows that detector like the back of his hand. My detector of choice today is one I used most of last year and I plan on using it exclusively next year. It is well built, well balanced, and I know how to get the most out of it. It is neither the deepest or the best at unmasking targets, but it is above average in all departments. It is a great feeling to have confidence in your detector. Now for the kicker. I bought one of these detectors many years ago when they first came out and I immediately had great success with it. I sold it three months into the detecting season to try another latest and greatest newcomer. Three years later, I got a trade offer and I tried this detector again. Again, I made some great finds in the short month or so I owned it. Sold it without losing a penny! Fast forward to last summer. I had a real nice detector for sale and one of the forums real gentleman made me a great trade offer. It was for this same detector. It came with two coils and I bought a highly rated coil for it and sold one of the coils. I don't really have new places to hunt, but my spots are very scenic and I can still pull an old coin or two from them. I started playing with the many settings and started finding a fair number of 100 year old coins. I have my detector for the next couple of years and I am not looking back. I am where you are, FINALLY!

to be at "peace" with oneself,is to possess the greatest gift of all!
"peace of mind" is an accomplishment unto itself, and hopefully, WHEN it is achieved
brings the ultimate satisfaction in life that transcends all material gain.
