Hi All. I have a question about the i.d. numbers on my quattro. I have my quattro set at coin with no discrimination on, so I'm also including iron, and my sound cross-saved at ferrous. My sensitivity is set at auto. I was in my backyard yesterday using the quattro and I noticed when I got a two-way signal that i.d. at 37 or a 38 too, and as I lifted the coil straight up off the signal to hit the pinpoint button, and to make sure I did'nt pick up another target signal nearby, that when I did this the i.d. number changed to -10 and it showed two nail icons? When I put it back down again over the target and swung it left and right again to get the 37, and lifted the coil again the i.d. changed again to -10 with two nail icons. I did'nt dig the signal, because my mom has been a little hesitant lately with me digging the the lawn and stuff, plus if I do dig our dogs come right behind me and re-dig the hole up
. So I've just been practicing with it by listening for the sounds and watching the i.d. numbers. I was wondering if anyone could possibly explain why I would get a solid 37 but when I lift it to hit the pinpoint button the i.d. changes to -10? I should say this does'nt "always" happen on 37 for me. It has just happened in this one spot where I got this 37 i.d. at the time. Thank's for any suggestions. HH. Sincerely, Randy
