Nothing like getting wet up to your neck on a hot summer day. I went up to the swimming beach early to avoid the crowds and managed to hunt for a couple hours before I had to get back to work. I hunt this place out in the winter when the water is low and when the swimming season resumes it gets re-planted. I wait until after the Fourth of July to water hunt it so there are a few finds to make. My first target was a penny. Woopie freaking dooo!
The second target was a mans 14k wedding band.
Not a lot of goodies in the water yet but enouigh to keep me looking for another ring! Out in the deep water I got a big signal and was afraid it was a darn can, but in my scoop was the gold doubloon. Well, it used to be gold plated anyway.
Some pirate must have dropped this while swimming this year. I does not say copy on it anywhere and the gold is worn off of it. Must be a Florida tourist treasure. Ed, you been up here?
A few coins and a Tinkerbell necklace thing-a-ma-bob rounded out the day. Well there is that bling-crazy dinosaur wearing his gold. I also found a big pentagram necklace so I tossed it in the deep water where it can stay. Yuck. Do you like my choice of background?
