I Did It Too, Waterproofed Cibola, Found Gold

Thanks to wildwiz, I learned how to waterproof my Cibola with an Otterbox. I made some mistakes, but I'm new to water hunting, so, I consider it a learning process.
There is a sandy beach at a lake near my home that I've wanted to try for several years, but didn't have a waterproof detector until wildwiz showed me the way. I'll show some pictures of my waterproofing in a later post. The first time I went out with it, I found three dimes and some junk earrings. Yesterday I went out and found my first gold ring, ever. It's 10K. I was digging everything, including a lot of foil, which is probably the reason I didn't miss this small ring. I was about shoulders deep in the water. I had the Discriminate Level set at MIN., The Threshold at about 2 O'clock and the Sensitivity at about 7.

That is a gorgeous ring! Sounds like you have a very nice set up going.
