I Don't Care What Anyone Says, It Counts As A Coin Find!

Spent the day looking for treasure like we do. I came across the rosie first, then a little later a ring...or so I thought. When I rubbed it in the field, the black wouldn't come off, so I thought it was a knockoff. The thin sterling ring came later.

When I got home and took a look at the knockoff, I saw writing on the inside: egalite fraternite liberte 6061

That was a head-scratcher so off to Google I went. Here's what I think it is: http://www.monnaiesdantan.com/vso6/francs-semeuse-1909-p1112.htm

Anyway, it counts I say :)

I used to make those coin rings as a young teenager with a few drill bits, a hammer, and various sockets...ahh, the gold old days!

Bet you would have done a better job than the person who did this one!
