do other people feel like I do about that damn Royal wedding thing, who gives a rats azz, I don't .... ..... :ukflag:

Talk about a waste of money and time, don't get me wrong here, I love our brothers on the other side of the pond but enough already with the prince marrying this lady or that lady, who other then women care

When I turn on the T.V. all I hear is about a rich snot nose kid moving to the front of the line grabbing the best looking girl at the dance because he is a prince or better yet a king some day, enough already I tell ya!!!!!!!!

Love the bitts during war time as a friend but I could care less who is the next King or Queen, just being honest here and a bully, who cares not to mention that country is broke like we are

They worship their royality like we go gaga over Hollywood.

Where I work, every patient has a TV to watch while we do their treatments. 30 patients in a large room with 30 TV's all on the same channel was a bit unbearable this morning.

.... the majority of them look upon the Royals as an important, but now ceremonial, part of their heritage .... all the pomp and tradition ... gives them a very real and visible link to their country's long and mostly successful history when the Royals did govern the United Kingdom. Prince William and Prince Harry serve in their armed forces and William has actual combat experience (until some reporter ratted him out as a Royal instead of just a regular soldier serving his country) plus now fly's rescue helicopters.

The Royals do lots of charity and fund raising for many worthy causes and are the respected diplomats to other countries. I personally find their history most interesting going all the way back to Pre-Christian times. Sure, all their glitzy uniforms don't make sense to us "Yanks" but that's THEIR History, not ours.

They may think that our rein-actors at Jamestown, VA, our Wild West, or our American Civil War are silly .... how about our Federal funding of the Cowboy poetry festival in Nevada, huh?

The wedding of William and Cait brought hope to the Brit's that a younger, more modern era (regular people) will someday ascend to be King and Queen. Many millions of folks worldwide celebrate their wedding as it is an historical event for their country.

I enjoyed watching the re-runs of the key events, especially the one of William and Cait leaving the palace in Prince Charles Austin Martin convertible with an "L" learners front designation plate and Newly Wed rear license plate. Good humor there, mate!

I'll bet that none of us would want to live their lives in a worldwide "fishbowl" of no privacy, and not ever being able to be just a normal person and do normal mundane things.
