I ended my silver drought with a short park hunt

After work I hit a small, and I mean small park..........1.4 acres to be exact. NOT 14 acres....lol, but 1.4 acres.

anyhow, I have hunted here in the past with my xterra and never even found a single wheat. I went there today and told myself I would dig anything that had a CO number of 30 and above that was 6" inches or deeper. Well I dug some odd numbers and I ended up with 5 wheats and a 1917 merc dime...YES! ended my 2 week silver drought!

The craziest one was the 1910 wheat, it gave me a screaming 01-35 signal, at 2 ways, both directions it read the same, nice and clear. Now normally I will not dig anything with a FE number of 01 because 99% of the time it only hits one way and it is almost always bent nails. But this hit from two ways clear as a bell, it was a good 8" deep and laying flat.

there is a little more silver in that little park! Congrats!

Congrats....silver is still nice to find! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Bundle up, wear long johns, think warm thoughts and hammer away at the ground:wiggle: But don't do what Bill did (read about it on BTH) he went out today and I guess he didn't have covers for his detector....oh the pain
