I posted the other day about concerns that my Explorer XS not ever living up to the depth expectations that I had.

Well I got the SE last night and today I went out for about 1 hour to a home-site I've been hunting for the last few weeks. I've been there about six trips. Twice I had a parter(s) with me. One partner had a DFX. The other had an MXT. I personally have gone over that ground with my XS (with stock coil and sunray 8 ), a CZ3D, DFX, and a Nautilus (with 10 and 15 inch coils).

So far I had found about 40 wheats, 1 Barber quarter, 4 Mercury dimes and a very small amount of clad. I covered it from different angles, different ground moisture, etc.

Today I dug a total of 8 targets. I came away with 3 Wheats, 1 Memorial cent, a Strip of copper, a small melted ball of aluminum. There were two holes so deep that I finally gave up on. The last and best one was the 2nd target I hit with my new SE. It was a 1934 Merc. It was down about 8" with other target sounds nearby.

I don't think you will catch me posting on here that this unit is weak on depth. I think I got a winner this time.
