I Found A Couple Of Gold Rings Today :fisher:

I found a couple of gold rings today with two different detectors. I was going to get out another detector to try and find a third gold ring, but after drinking 3 large mugs of coffee, a large orange juice and a coke, I had to leave where I was detecting, since there was no place to go. My new tone Tesoro Golden

Whaaaa!? You say it so calmly, as if it happens everyday! Nice work, Tab...:please:

Nice rings. I like the plastic wrap around the propointer. Is that to keep the button switch from getting all muddy? Is it heavy duty plastic? Would love to get out, upstate cold nights keeping the ground frozen thanks, CO

It's the plastic off of a sandwich baggie. I cut it into strips of around 3 x 6 inches.

I put about 2 wraps around the midsection to keep mud and dirt from building up around the rubber boot on and off button switch.

I secure it with a few wraps of Scotch tape on both ends. It last several hunting trips and is easy and fast to replace.

what size is that NEL coil on the Fisher? Performs well for you ( good depth)? thanks, CO

It's the NEL Sharpshooter coil and it's 5.5 x 9.75 inch. Damn right it gets good depth and it's a joy to use.:)

One of our forum sponsors sells them at a great price!

That is awesome Sir !!

Your right Elton, he should have gone for three! A weak bladder drove him off the gold?

Listen Tab, next time you kneel down to do a dig, you just get ready and take a squirt right in the hole...preferably after you retrieve the target! .guarantee, nobody will even be aware of what you are doing...you can use your digger sort of like a little flume or gutter arrangement, and to the casual onlooker it goes completely unnoticed! Just trying to help here...

Congrats and nice finds. Did you paint that grass green or is that for real? Good to see that NEL coil is working out for you.

That's the real deal. Clover comes out early in the Spring. It won't be long before the weather gets hot around here. The trees are beginning to bud out.

Awesome finds. I found a lot of gold when I used the Tesoro Vaquero and Tejon. But I contribute it to digging by audio only. That is where a lot of people mess up today, they rely to much on the ID numbers before digging.
Great rings:clapping:

Tabman, I am so jealous, and envious -- I notice you using a NEL Sharpshooter. I too have one and love it. I have also found a couple of rings with it, but only silver -- Man (tab) what a fine looking gold ring and heavy too. I want one, I want one  Good find for sure
