I got a Tesoro tiger shark on the way. Any help would be great :clapping:

I'm a E-trac user but i just bought a Tiger Shark from Habanero. Any help or insights on the machine would be great. Can't wait to start water hunting, I hear that where the high $ finds are. Thanks again Habanero :wiggle:

Well saltersnatch,

When you get your Tiger, read the instruction manual and assemble it with the 8" coil. It will be easier to learn with the stock 8" coil instead of the 10" coil. Then learn to ground balance the TS, I would learn to use it in ankle deep shallow water or dry land first. Then when you get some hours on it, I would look for a sturdy stainless steel water scoop. It take some good techniques to retrieve targets when you cannot see the coil underwater. It operates pretty much like a Tesoro land based detector and would suggest that you use it a lot before attempting waist deep water.

thanks for the advice hombre. Sounds like i got my work cut out for me. Cahil2, speaking of silver I got my first silver of the year lastnite so we are tied.

If you are looking for thin gold chains use all-metal or 1 or 2 on dis ,gold rings no higher then 3.If I am in the water I always hunt in all metal and check it in dis:thumbup:

They are not a very good detector and they have terrible resale value. They are allergic to coins and gold and only find pulltabs. Also I will add that very little money or jewerly is ever lost in the water. You should probably stick to the land. I will save you some time and help you minimize your losses by offering you $200 for it!

Okay, actually I am ordering one real soon! From what I have read and people I have talked to that use one, they are the best freswater detector for the buck.... Can't wait to get mine. Good luck on your water hunting.
