It's on "HOW TO MAKE A COVER FOR YOUR METAL DETECTOR" like the camo covers I have made for the ACE Series and Master Hunter CX Plus. I use them to help keep the machines warm (with a hot pac) and to protect them to keep them looking good should I ever decide to sell them....

con grats !
i have actually thought about camming up my detector as the yellow sticks out like a sore thumb, ive found the yellow seems to attrach onlookers.
when i go out i usually have my old canadain forces web gear and some baggy cammies and i dig with a coldsteel branded frontier style blade with zebrawood handles. The whole point here is that i dont want any attention ! colors and noise seem to gather that,........and iam sure noboby really "gets"
why i use the knife...actually i cut the plug...using a c pattern...it even makes a good probe! realistically after the first plug/hole its basically a butter knife..no shovel here !

Good fer you bud. I was going to send in something but never got around to it. Carla keeps sending me emails asking me to send something in. Guess I'll have to get the lead out and quit hanging out here so much. I used to crank out 25-30 articles a year but haven't done squat in some time now.

Bill .

great job John  saskdigr a knife in a public park with people around is asking for trouble i don't know about were you live but the cops in Aussie shoot first & ask questions later & it"s hard to hear the " freeze " or " drop the knife " with headphones on :detecting: you may end up with a little more metal than you planed for  go buy a leach digger it may be easy er to explain to the boys in blue that your not a homicidal killer bent on murdering the park goers .

Yeah. Got to watch out for the back stabbers.
John. It looks like you will need to write an article on how to make Camo covers for lower shafts as well, as it looks like your Ace's lower shaft is a bit on the cold side.
All jokes aside, congrats on the Article.
Mick Evans.
