Howdy guys.
Before you read any further please realize I had Bryce type this up for me. I'm sure you would have figured that out on your own anyway but I wanted to clarify it. I work looooong days....my computer is sloooooow...and Bryce has a way with words:thumbup:...so here is what he typed up for me.....

Well fellers'....he's hooked.:detecting:

Rain....95 degree heat...darkness....mosquitoes the size of hummingbirds...it don't matter.....we're huntin'.:bouncy:

He's as bad as I am...and the "fever" has hit him hard.:super:

I dug a few goodies tonight but Dave hadn't found any silver yet.

About 8:00 I'm ready to go so I yelled and said "Let's go".

His reply..."give me another 15 minutes...Herky is helping me dig this LAST wheatie up".

Well about 1 1/2 hours later it's now 9:30:clapping:...we're in total darkness:clapping:....my shoulder is throbbing:rolleyes:...and I see a little indigo green glow off in the distance.:crylol:

I then see the glow jumping around and hear smacking sounds.

It's Dave trying to hunt in the dark:clapping:...tryin' to find one more oldie:beers:...while swatting at the mosquitoes.

I thought to myself..."I gotta' get a pic of this...so I went to the car to get my camera.

By the time I made my way back over to Dave... there he was...sitting in the pitch black darkness...mosquitoes swarming...holding a flashlight between his teeth...and trying to dig his plug while swatting.

As you can see in the second pic here...even Hercules made his way over to him in the darkness to say..."Let's get out of here"

Thank goodness he popped out silver #2 for his career...or he mighta' kept me there til midnight.:crylol:

You know those hunts...when it's time to go...but you wanna' end on a wheatie or silver...not a piece of crap.

Trust me...I'm probably worse than anyone...and I'll stay another 2 or 3 hours if I have to...but I'm findin' SOMETHING good...or I ain't leavin'.:bouncy:

Hey...I've taught this big feller' well. He is VERY persistent.

He worked very hard for many hours to find this stuff...7 wheaties...the Roosey...and the sweet little silver plated dog statue.:beers:

The dog is very detailed but the scan didn't show it very well.

Dave was stoked...as was I...that he got silver #2 for his career.

I know he will find many more.

you were NEVER going to let us leave.:clapping:

I thought I was going to have to sick Hercules on you in order to get us out of there..:bouncy:

Congrats again buddy. I KNEW you were going to like this hobby...and the peace it brings:angel:

WTG Dave. One of these days the 3 of us will hunt together. I'm on the road a lot these days but Bryce and I do hunt together when we can.
I found a nice site where the stagecoach used to stop at and also other activity went on there. You are welcome to come with Bryce any time.
We have pulled some nice old coins out of there.
Good job on the roosey and wheats. I see Hercules like to help you dig too. More silver will come your way if Bryce is helping you along.

That's what it's going to take to find those older, deeper, trash masking oldies, Dave!! You definitely have the patience and persistence!! :clapping:

And you have a master teacher with "Yoda" Bryce as your detecting buddy!!

Hold those coins in your hands for a while. Put them in your pocket, then take them out and look at them some more. Congrats on all your finds!

Awesome Dave! Looks like you are catching on quick!!!!!!!

Looks like you're doing really well -- I know everyone here really likes the silver coins, but to me that little silver plated dog (even if it wasn't plated) was the highlight of your hunt....the Rosie was just icing on the cake! I luv those more unique items that we find. I'm happy you guys had a great time!

Many congrats Dave, glad to see you posting finds, sounds like you are working hard at it.
Hope to see many more.
