I Got The Boot From a Local Park :poke:

AJ, around here you can detect all you want in the parks, just can't dig anything......Up the road there is a town that will allow you to detect any city park provided you have bought the permit, follow their guidlines on digging and recovery, display the permit sticker on your detector, and if asked to leave you must do so. That is why I mainly hunt privet property anymore.

but I have been escorted from a park once and I did all those things you said and a couple more, I didn't go peacefully 
then went straight from there to another spot n found some old silver coins so I took it as a sign that it's my human right to detect
I won't start up the sermon
will I, don't want to wind myself up to much 
I did try a new strategy today and added some change as well to the list in a little spot I have pounded with near every machine and learnt a bit more love this sport
hope you got some too today.

If a guy is never booted from a park or banned from a Forum, he's just not trying hard enough!!good work on the coins Mud and yes thanks hatpin sure she will love it 
I am doing a good job then banned from forums mainly minelab I have a minelab hat and wrote in big black marker above their logo what I think of them and proudly wear it, guess I wont be getting a test unit
rather pay for my units than prostitute myself 
sure I have asked for one but it never comes so guess everyone knows I am cacking myself laughing when I write this and it's not all serious like, think it can get a bit too serious at times around here its a good thing too I found a dealer who sells their hats cheap

Nice charm AJ. I have only been given the boot from two places in 6 years of detecting. I usually just go as quietly and politely as possible. I kind of got the idea that maybe in my two situations the people giving me the boot might do some detecting themselves and the two places I was detecting they might detect in the off season because they are seasonal. It was a little disappointing though because I was finding some good amounts of change at these places. Glad you found something good though. HH

yeah most people don't care get the odd one who doesn't approve but they are rare pretty good around here and if asked I don't make a fuss these days just go and reassess a new plan

went out today with the Cibola and 5.75" mono disc at iron digging tabs and a few coins got a choppy signal and told myself I am here to dig it all and lucky I did a gold ring on edge.
2.65 g's of 9K at about 4" down.
so I have been digging all targets and so everyone knows here is the junk pile from my last gold to this one, its hard work but so worth it when yellow pops out.

Congrats on the nice looking ring AJ. I like the junk pile too. It's good to let people getting into this hobby know they are going to have to dig the junk to find the treasure. It sure is worth it to see the yellow after digging so much garbage. I like finding nickels, pull tabs and old metal. It means a site has not been hunted before or someone has hunted it on full disc. I am just wondering why you have not gotten into water hunting where you live. Don't you get a lot of tourists out your way, or do you live more inland away from the beaches. I hope you find some more of that yellow. It's really hard to avoid catching the yellow fever. HH

yes big bay (salt water) 1/2 hr away and gets a lot of activity in summer so plan on hitting that (in the water) a bit over summer when its too hot to dirt hunt, funny you should mention that because I was just thinking about that just 5 mins ago, to cold now winter and I am not that keen so do the dirt in winter water in summer.
so yes if there are tabs and canslaw and well our 5, 10 cent coins around so is the gold and its a pretty well untapped and so its good for me and I figure if I pull every target from a park there has to be goodies, 2nd gold from this park and still more targets to go so who knows what else is in there ??
