I had to take my granddaughter detecting to see if she could out-do her little brother.....

Anika is 9 years old, and has been detecting with me a lot of times. She was impressed with her little brothers finds and wanted to have a chance to show him how it was done. I took both of them back to the bark chips and the contest began. Zakary had the XLT and Anika had her trusty compadre. She knows how to find the goodies. Here she is under the monkey bars pinpointing a find while Zak does a little climbing.

Zak settled in to playing around on the playground while Anika focused on finding the goods. When the dust settled, I placed their finds on the slide and they did a little mugging for the camera.

Here are the finds, Anika found almost all of the stuff while Zack goofed around and had a ball playing.
