Hi Bill If I remember right you live in Oregon, if so do you ever run across any journals from people that traveled the Oregon Trail. I live just a few miles north of it in Nebraska right in the middle of the Indian uprising real close to the oak groves in this link.

That's one thing I haven't bumped up against. Have you tried the Library of Congress web site? They have tons of info and photos on everything. I'll find the URL and post it for you.
