I have a question F75 related

Has anyone determined how much depth can be done before the target Id and sound changes on coins.. I know it's pretty much same to 7, 8 " but over that I don't know..can anyone advise ??? Ie: Does a 12 inch quarter sound and Id same as a 7" quarter ???

I am fairly new to the f75, but on all of the detectors I have used, I have found the tone to remain the biggest help on deep coins. On Minelabs, Cz's, and other deep detectors, the tone almost always stayed consistant with a coin over 9 or 10 inches deep. The first time out with the f75, I dug a 10 inch deep Barber dime and I was in the 3h tone. It was a quick high blip from a couple of angles. The numbers were bouncing, but the high tone though weak was there. I will have to say, the Explorers I have used had the best combination of tones and visual ID. I hope I can say the same about the f75 when I get some hours on it. Just my opinions. R.L.

That is a point where light seems to be stretched out and elongated.
Most detectors will bump up the tone/i.d. of a target making it even higher than the
targets actual signature, which is good as opposed to the opposite. But at some point the signal
received is so weak that when processed it either drops off as iron, or more often, not 'displayed'
THOUGH STILL SENSED BY THE DETECTOR.
One of the features of the new Millennium Baron is the Deep Search Mode, where these targets
that are sensed maybe as an unusual ground change or as a target WITHOUT enough information to identify
is now DISPLAYED. With this detector the depth is such that you may have to remove 7-8"
[YES I SAID SEVEN TO EIGHT INCHES] of dirt from above the target
to get a proper target i.d. This is truly evolutionary.

But you will find that deep targets over a certain depth [depends on your mineral matrix and moisture]
will jump up one notch. That is why it is always good to dig deep tabs-they may be a nickel or ring and your
detector does not have enough information to process the signal CORRECTLY. Dig any unusual signal regardless
of the make or model-that SHOVEL of yours is a 100% discriminator, right every time.
[Besides, in most places tabs and screw caps, as a relative new phenomena, are 4 inches or so {in my area}].
(The last time I got an 8" tab on my CZ, it turned into a 1927 woman's high school class ring-I found the owner.)
