I have a question for the few business owners on the site,How is business going and are you still running the same as 6 months ago(Hours-employees etc

as is most of my customers. We have had to go to a 4 day work week although we do that as needed. I've had to keep my inventory down to a minimum but I still am buying material so not only my men will have work but my suppliers will also be able to run. The stupidest thing I've seen is that I've lost 2 customers to a idiot that is 60 miles south of me that went in and cut my prices at least 7% and gave the customer extended terms. I told the customer that if someone wants to drown he wasn't taking me with him. We he folds, I'll remember to price the pallets so I can re-coup what I lost to a dumba$$.

But man this ain't gonna turn around soon enough for many of us Americans.

This will trickle effect us for a long long time to come and I do things now and bare cost for folks but its taking a toll on me.
Heck some customers are in their 80's and me having a heart for people I work for next to nothing to help the elderly... but I'm taking the beating not them now.
Then there are so many laid off everyone is trying to survive and make money and thats the way it has to be now!

I have customers who slack on payment or cant pay for a few months at a time and I have known them for over 3years... I'm no Uncle Sam :(
I help anyone and everyone I can but Denise and my family said enough is enough... so :D

I have come to a conclusion that I need to let the folks sink in order for me to float
God bless this great country or whats is left of the fundamentals of the old one :D

Who have lost everything and some have walked away from there homes as well.
See they thought why spend their money when they can keep it in stocks and be well off so the mortgaged their 1/2-1 million dollar homes
Well we know where stocks went  and them folks lost their money and still had over priced Mortgages they signed for but they chose to walk away from them and keep their little retirement and dignity they had left ... shameful

That's not to count the lil folks that struggle and lost their jobs... the schools are laying off all the time in my county and others in central Fla.
Heck schools and collages are closing as well down here :(... there is and wont be any turn around on most normal everyday things for well over a year or more.

Now what we could use is a huge hurricane season :D :D that will put the nail in the coffin and lead to more things

Me I'm a survivor  and luckily a Camilion

when times are good you plan for when they will be bad. Thats what Vicki and I have done for 21 years and we're ready for the worst.

I don't own the printing business where I work but I think we will get through it. I had to take a 10% paycut, that was a relief because I thought we were going to a 4 day work week (that would be 20%) In the factory sometimes they tell the press crew not to come in. (two days this week)

I do all the pricing (we have 12 salesmen) and it has been really busy for me. So companies are out there looking to buy.

I do have my own business on the side and it is doing very good in it's own small way. (feebay and precious metals)
