Isn't that an ankh? It means eternal life. I believe its an egyptian symbol. Aaron
 
...you've seen the "Goths", the kids that dressed up all in black clothes, black lipstick, black boots and all. I guess for some it was a fashion or political statement, but for others it became a real death cult. I've heard of several cases now when a young person had this symbol tatooed over their heart before committing suicide.
