i heard that theres an explorer 3 coming out in spring is this true?

Minelab or for that matter any company that is selling products such as metal detectors is not about to slip and mention a new product to replace a current winner is on the table. Why stop good sales that are going on around the country. If you or I knew a new model was being produced or close, would you buy the current one on the market. I DON'T THINK SO.

Anything is possible in this world today. I may have spent a bundle about a couple of months to soon. Guess I'll find out when everyone else has one and I don't. In the meantime I have the XS and II, don't believe I am going to be in the market for anything else for awhile. These machines better start paying for their way soon. This is getting to be a spendy hobby according to my wife. She say's I better not have more that the 6 I have now or her sewing machine inventory is going up also.

Johnny,
I just talked with Dick Schultz at Minelab last week and asked that very question about a new Minelab coming out and he said not that he was aware of. I was going to get the Explorer II, but as long as my XS is working and still finding stuff then I will hold off until they do come out with a machine to replace the Explorer II. HH.

This seems to be a clever roost. I would not think that Minelab would enter a new Explorer into the market place with the sales of the current model so strong. I do however beleive that Minelab and other manufactures are always working on new detectors and technolgy.

In a matter of opinion, I do not beleive there is any detector on the market that gets the depth of the Explorer. So why change it. A detector takes several years from drawing board to working model.

Also take into account that the Minelab X-terra line has recently entered the market place.

I agree with you 100% Joe. Like I said earlier, I talked with Dick at Minelab and if anyone else wants to ask him about a new Explorer coming out in the near future then here is his email. Dick Shultz(CustomerService@minelabusa.com) HH.
