first target was a mans silver ring with a green stone in the center. then came a 1942 merc dime, then later a token the size of a 50 cent piece they were all from 2-4" deep. I ran max sensitivity, but it seemed to crankle and pop a lot so I backed it off to 27 and it was smooth sailing after that.

Great finds! I wonder why you couldn't find these with other detectors if they were only 2-4 inches deep. Is the ground real hot or something?

that's why I get a big laugh when guys post that a site is hunted out, I aint found one yet that's hunted out. To prove a point, it seems that you always find stuff with a new detector eventhough you have hunted that spot numerous times in the past. So either it's a miracle machine, you dig most all signals because your trying to learn the machine or you just happen to pass the coil over the right spot. I believe it's the last two scenarios rather then a magic wand. If your askin me if I could have found them with the CZ5, CZ70, C$, GT&i1500, Cortes, well certainly as long as the coil passes over the right spots, if not then they will be left in the ground for someone else to find.

I've boxed off 10x10 foot squares, hunted it inch to inch, and then came back the next week and found more. You NEVER get it all, no matter what detector or how many times you hunt it.
