Much more stable than the Pro 11" DD..Still didn't find any Silver 1950 founded park. Three hours, and one Wheat cent and a ton of clad with several junk items..
One question please 00-31 Sounded like a coin target. I dug 18" deep and still could not find a target. Anyone have any idea what I may have been hitting ??
This happened about 5 times.. Used the probe checked sides of hole etc etc.. but no target..

In my limited experience..00-31 is iron or junk. But I don't get that reading very often so I end up digging it. One of these days I'll be right...lol !

00-31 is usually iron (I have seen others say 00-31 can be "hot rocks," too).

Reason you don't find them, sometimes, could be that since it's an iron false, it does not necessarily pinpoint in the right place, and thus you dig and don't find anything.

I have learned to listen to those 31 conductivity sounds. Some of them sound "coin-like," hard to describe, but these I dig. Other 31 conductive hits sound almost "empty" or "airy," again -- hard to describe, but these are INVARIABLY iron falses, for me.

Garrett Pro pointer. I get interference with my Se Pro. I noise cancelled, and still, the pointer sounded off when turned on .. Does anyone else have this issue ??

turn your pro pointer on then do your noise cancle with the pro pointer on should clear up any trouble you have does every time for me

I have never had any issues between my pro-pointer and my Explorer ..

My Pro-Pointer WILL interfere, on occasion. Only sometimes. Guess it depends on which "channel" the Explorer is using at that time. When it happens, though, a noise cancel with the Pro-Pointer ON, does take care of the issue for me.

put that critter on smartscreen and learn that cursor flutter and movement....then you won't have to worry about the numbers brother:biggrin::thumbup:

Stability is the key to learning the SE my friend...the silver will come. The less falsing and chirping...the better you will hear those deep silver "warbles":clapping:

Keep up the good work.

I have been doing NC on the ground..And I don't think the propointer was on.

00-31 HOT ROCK HOT ROCK HOT ROCK. Reduce your sensitivity a bit or reswing a little higher over the objects. I hunt with a pattern that has just ONE block the 00-31 and IM 26 that knocks or breaks them up for field use where they will drive you nuts. My pattern doesnt knock out ANY coin or target that would be a keeper. You also get them where the soil is very shallow like on top of hills. If you switch to Ferr.... they just start showing up in the lower right as rust since thats what causes the falsing off of hot rocks. Elton.... the Garrett and most hand held pin pointers are Pulse Inductive. Its the down side of a hand held. Elton like Teleman said you might knock it out with his method. Thats what i do when hunting with other detectors the the SE drives nuts. you have them go thru their GB close to you they you NC. Most times it will just change the freq enough to help them.

always leave it as high as you can. 9 out of 10 times you will hit the the same falsing signal regardless if your sensitivity is at 26 or as low as 15.

With time you will learn to walk right over those hits. It might not even be a hot rock but probably has just as much chance of being deep iron. You can usually tell a hot rock or deep iron false if you whip the coil over it back and forth. It will usually break up...but it all comes with time and practice.

Keep on pluggin' away:thumbup:

I'm a die hard. So I keep digging. I have seen some of the stuff Bryce pulls deep and keep hoping LOL

Everyone hunts different and we dont always agree on how to hunt.... but i do know the digital readings of the SE, at least for my machine..... 00-31 is a hot rock on MINE and no iron has ever hit in that range. I have noticed you dont hit them as often using auto sensitivity..... in manual we get them a little more. They have a distinct tone so i just ignore them.

and hunt in smart screen for this reason. It doesn't matter how we all hunt...what matters is that we try to find the best way to eliminate occurences like what you are asking about. I know the digital readings on my SE too and 00-31 has been deep iron at least half the time and a hot rock will usually break up somewhat with a faster sweep over the signal as will deep iron. Once I started using the smart find screen 100%...I have dug far less deep iron and hotrocks.
I had that little bit of info (smartscreen importance) pounded into my head by you know who:clapping:
He also tells me not to ever reduce sensitivity...but to switch to semi auto 26 if I start encountering to much falsing...and this has worked well too.
I'm a newbie but I do have the benefit of learning while hunting because of who Ihunt with:thumbup:
