I just found a flint lock trigger outside my door!

I was messing with my tejon putting back my koss volume control back on because i had trouble in the marsh yesterday.So i get it hooked up and go out in the front yard to get my ground balance straightened out from the swamp ground.I found a quarter by my porch ,so i said heck,i will stroll around for a minute.And twenty feet from my door i find a flint lock trigger.The heck with the marsh, i am staying in the yard!

Ya just never know! One things for sure, you cant find anything just sitting around inside the house! Nice!

I am pretty sure what you have is a toy flint lock hammer. That flat area on the front of the flint jaws looks to have a cap buster head. If it were real the jaws would be open in the front unless it would still have a flint in it.

Just going on what I can see in your pictures, still a nice find.

Agree with Ron, it would also be made out of iron, not brass/bronze.
