I got a used SE pro I bought from the classifed on this forum. The ground is frozen hard here already.I chipped out 2 coins I found with my old detector this afternoon. The ground was frozen to 8 inches deep.I'll have to bring in a box of dirt into the house to practice with this winter.I ordered a new Sovereign with a meter as my back up to the SE Pro.If you guys want to send some Barber Dimes and quarters,3 cent pieces,2 cent pieces, capped, busted, draped coins to add to the dirt for "practice" I'd appreciate.I want to be just like James ND when I grow up.:detecting:

They have grab bags here. I plan on getting the 19th & 20th century down the road to make some patterns for my SE. Have fun. I am going back to bed. I am never up this early. I am going out MD several hours from now. We are still hitting 50

I got m SE yesterday and went out for about an hour. I'm on the learning curve as well. I have noticed that the recovery speed is a LOT slower than my X-Terra 70, but I found a few clad coins. It's just going to take some swinging time to figure it all out.
