Found a real good deal on a new Se and decided to get it. I have never used one but I am looking forward to it. Can't wait till it gets here to take it out......

I hear ya, I ran into one of those deals too, and could not pass it up. This thing definately isnt my old Garrett 1350!! You will enjoy it. HH Joe

i just received a 2yr old explorer SE, purchased on e-bay. i have been playing with it for a week or so, and am suffering from information overload. actually i think it is coming along nicely, but would like to find an instructional DVD or book to accelerate my learning curve. i have seen a DVD advertised for the explorer II, and a book for the explorer x and xs. what i would like to know is how much revelant info, for these units will apply to the SE. also any info for a newbie, with a lot of time, and little experience.

I have found a few websites that look like they may help..

http://www.mlotv.com/ --Good videos
http://www.minelabowners.com/
http://www.treasuregizmo.com/settings.htm
http://www.frontiernet.net/~jvokes/exscreens.htm

Not all may pertain to the se but I think you can get some useful info from them.
