I think it is so Christmas. I went back to the house I was at yesterday. I found a muddy coin that I thought was really old. everything I dig is covered in mud. I flipped it over and there it was; a big moose. One of those foreign coins. Not bad though. It was a 1941 Canadian quarter. It's silver!

I had a four coin spill. Two mercuries and two wheat's. I would retrieve my target and no more signal. I than pp over the hole and got a signal. I did that two more times.

I got a beautiful bus token.

There were no pull tabs, but there was some aluminum siding pieces. I didn't hesitate to dig one notch above nickel. Gad I did. I got a real bad sputtery sound later and it was a broken junk ring. The heart ring is 12-k.

It says on the inside 1/20 12-K G.F.Kiddie. I Googled it and there are a few listings with that name. I'm sure G.F. means gold filled.

The wings are broken in half. It looks to be a pin maybe for a lapel. Another no date buffalo and 10 wheat's; the oldest being 1938.

I found a silver ring last year at my old school. It had Kiddiegem on it. I found this picture of an old ad for them on Ebay. They were from the 60's. GF is for gold filled. Looks like you had a great day...again. I'm good on wheat's but no silver or Buffalo's. Oh well, there is still time left in '07. Great finds again.
nice finds-- My dad is big into the token collecting-- Let me know where it is from and the material and i will have him check value
It seems like copper, but I bet it's brass. I think copper shows decay more than brass. I have a brass Chinese coin from the 1700's in real good shape. The bus is from Fairmont, WV. I doubt it is worth much. There were a LOT of them around when I was a kid. I was wondering when I would find one. I have found lots of different tokens here. 1942 Kopper coal store, Consolidated Coal store, Mender's clothing and a good luck token with a swastika on it to name a few.

Looks like you had a super time, just loooooove those Mercs.
Hey that moosehead looks good as well, the token looks in great nick as well.
Ya did guid kiddo.:clapping:
We're gettin' a bit p'd off not gettin out but we'll make up for it after the the 30th.

He looked up your token and guess what???..... Don't get too x-cited. It is Brass and worth a whoppin' .... .50 cents. They were also made in steel also a 50 cent token and in fiber.. now them are worth $7.00. It sure is funny that you hardly ever hear of anybody finding transit tokens.

Don't you get snow and cold weather there. Can you MD all winter?

I bet you drive the spell check crazy. Or maybe there is a Scottish language spell check.

Our weather is up and down like a yo yo +8c one day the next -5c and in between plenty cold rain, sometimes glorious sunshine maybe gettin' up to 9c. Our weathermen never get it right here, so we just have to look out the window on the day and decide quickly to go out or not.
BTW, never use the spell checker, it wouldn't work on a Scottish forum.
My only wee complaint about this forum is I don't see a Scottish national flag I could use, and I would rather not use the uk flag.

Nice stuff bud. You done good. 1/20 GF means gold filled but not much of it. It's very nearly plated. And why would you PP in the hole?
