After many years with the E-Trac I sold it and got the XP Deus!!!!!

NOW WHAT???/LOL

I will be asking tons of questions.

Brown bear, I'd recommend reviewing all the resources available to you on the web. I've spent a couple of months and even at that, I needed "hands on".

Now what ? Just go out and enjoy your new toy. :detecting: It is a great machine.

Questions? Ask away. You will get lots of good answers......some more right than others :)

You'll enjoy and its both easy to learn and tweak and has enough tweaking to keep a fellow interested.and sharp. Not to mention the new update that's coming soon.

Seriously, I had A CTX 3030 and loved all but the weight. Got the Deus and am thankful.

I'm getting a solid 2" more depth and can hunt all day for the first time in years,

Stick with it, ask questions and go detecting, best way to practice and learn.

Congradulations!

Stick with it, learn it and you will be amazed at what the Deus, (a machine that many say looks like a toy) can do for you!

It's a very solid built machine and the XP support is second to none.

Learn how to make the reactivity, silencer and iron volume work for you.

Congrats on your new Deus - it's a great machine !

Just keep it simple till you get a use to it - you'll dig a lot of good finds with the basic factory programs.

Don"t forget, Get the Andy S. book on the Deus. One of the best teachers for that detector. Without it, it will take you a year to get good with the Deus.

I just got one yesterday also, but didn't sell any of my old vintage machines. Was hunting an old park in Toronto back in December with my Wilson R & C ll up against an XP Deus and CTX3030 and I cleaned their clock with three silver and one Indian head while they found nothing. I just hope with my methodical slow detecting technique the Deus will give me an edge I don't have with my other machines. Never had a problem keeping up with the Big boys...now I'm one of them!
