I "may" be looking for a new unit. What's your Fav. whites machine & why?

I've owned several White's units since the 70's & recently "Jumped ship" & got a Fisher F75LTD Which MAY have been a mistake! I might be interested in another Whites but seems they've "progressed" a bit since My Spectrum XLT - I mostly Coin/Jewelry hunt & occasionally do a little CW Relic hunting. I need DEPTH (Of course) great target separation &/or recovery speed & yea, ease of use is big for me too! (This leaves out the V3i I think) So, what do you current white's swingers recommend & why? Any advice would be appreciated!! :pulltab:

I like this machine better than any machine I have ever used. I had the V3I and I like the PRO better.:detecting:

I mainly hunt CW relics in spring, fall and winter and old coins in the hot months. I sold my DFX and got the MXT PRO with the 10x12 SEF coil. I went to the DIV hunt this year where they say the DFX does not do well in that hot soil. They must be right because I did not see any there. The PRO did great and I found a lot of relics. I have not had the F75 but I hear it is a great relic machine as well. Just a little too chatty for me. The MXT PRO is a very easy machine to use. I have been a White's user since 1979 and probably always will.

I also have had a few other brands of detectors and got a MXT,it is a great detector and has a lot of depth and is easy to use and learn. Have read a lot about the MXT Pro and think if I ever get a new detector it will be a MXT Pro.
That is if I ever get rid of my MXT. Either way you will be glad you got either the MXT/MXT Pro.
Happy Hunting!

. . and the coil selection makes them even more versatile.

I have a V3i, but since I got the MXT Pro, the V stays home. I enjoy the simplicity of the MXT Pro, and it has found coins as deep as any I have found.

Thanks guys!! Seems I'll be makin' a new post asking questions about that MXT pro!! :pulltab:

I have an XLT and a M6 and love them both. I mainly hunt coins and jewelry and when i want to go out and hunt without alot of adjusting and messing around I grab the M6. great depth, lots of coil choices and just plain fun to use.

Personally like the DFX for coin, jewelry & relics. It doesn't have to be a complicated machine. Put an 8X6 SEF coil on it and enjoy great target separation. You may want to wait until after tomorrow and see what the VX3 has to offer.

hiya,,its STILL the XLT for me,,,nothing really comes close,,the MXT is great,,but i believe,,they all want to be an XLT,,,with colour screens of course,,,,,all in all the XLT has everything you need on all sites,,,:ukflag:

It sounds like you are a good candidate for the new VX3, smooth running, easy to use and deep.

My Fav. unit of all time = 6000Di Pro SL 2nd. XLT (Rainbow) Let's see if that MXT Pro could give these two a run for the $$! ( The VX3 does look interesting though!) :pulltab:
