I was in Az earlier this week and spotted a really nice Baja Bug. I took some pics, managed not to drool on it, and was getting ready to leave when the owner came out. We talked VW's for a bit till he asked what brought me to Arizona.. Next thing I know he's showing me pictures of a 50 ounce nugget he found 'back in the day'! I asked his name and I'll admit I didn't really recognize it (being a noob), but the stories and pictures said all I needed to hear! What a nice guy-I could've talked with him for hours. When I asked him about prospecting he told me that he just races and works on custom cars now. That bug was evidence of a person that has a passion for his pursuits! I bet he was a gold vacuum back in the day..
