A lurker messaged me about my Lake Looter Ace 250 conversion. I called him up and we talked for some time about the conversion and hunting. As we talked we found out that we were vacationing at the same place! So I took my Lake Looter down for him to check out. I met with him and his lovely wife on a cabin. What a great couple! He's a tinkerer like me. He has and Ace 250 and wanted some pointers. So the next morning we hit a small beach and tot lot. Really all he needed was some pinpointing help. Then he caught on and we did a few hours of hunting. There wasn't much to be found but it was nice just to get out and swing the coils! I told him to start posting and get into the forum. He said he just might do that. I hope so because he's a great guy! So this is my invitation to put your fingers on the keyboard and say hello.

I have an ACE 250 and your lake looter modification sounds interesting where can I find information about your changes?
 
That is really neat....to hear that a couple of people got together due to the forum. It really is a small world.

Of course that ACE does get around, doesn't it. :thumbup:
 
It is a small world. I'm in Missouri and they are from Texas. What were the odds of us having a little vacation in the same place?!

...umm but when i started to read this i actually was expecting .....um well some sorid tales or something.
It kinda sounded like maybe he was stalking you and or that maybe you guys were real "swingers".....and crossing coils....
i am real sorry iam not trying to be a dick ...but the way it was going well i used my imagination ???

That's Great Kenny. I also got to met a forum member last week for the first time. we had a great chat as well. if I ever travelled over to North America, I've already told the wife that I'd like to catch up with a few forum members if we were in Coo-ee(close enough) of them. It'd be pretty neat. I'd have to make sure I could get to check out the Garrett factory/museum as well.
