Been using the Explorer line since thier inception and most recently an Explorer SE pro. Been looking closely at trying my hand at an E-Trac. Why? Well, just because, i guess. Looks like somesthing fun and new to learn and I hear it does better in trashy areas which is where I like to hunt. I will still keep my SE Pro as a back-up unit.

If anyone here has used both and would like to chime in with some info that might help me feel free to, I would appreciate it.

Thanks y'all

Hi DrBob,
I wouldn't wait one minute longer if I were you. The Etrac is even better than the Explorer's and the 11" coil is superb. I have always liked small coils but the 11" stays on the Etrac. Sensitivity and ID'ing work great. The enlarged display is a welcome feature. Ok DrBob good hunting and Merry Christmas !

I jumped from a GPX4000 (still have, also the GPX4500) I went straight for the E-trac, and hit the local racecoourse, Dissapointing I didnt find a spendable coin however I found 8 predecimals, the other locasl had cleaned out the spending coins and left the oldies for me., which aint bad because Australia aint that old for relics.

Go for the E-trac it will not let you down
