General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

I sent my Tejon in for service, here is how that is going.

I recently had my Bandido ii umax checked out....I bought it used a few years ago...I talked to Rusty and to the lady...I was charged 50.00. When I got it back I could see they had did some work on the coil...It took around 10 days from the day I shipped it before I got it back...Tesoro was awsome...Also I have a Whites Quantum pro that wouldn't turn on....I took it to the service center near Lombard, il...He adjusted the battery pack terminal on the spot at no charge...He also sold me the chip to update Quantum ii for about 15.00 if I remember correctly....Service is great at both tesoro and whites...I also have a G2 I bought from Monte last fall....Hope there service is as good if I ever need it
 
An update on my Tejon.
As of today I still haven't received it??? so I called them today and they checked out the order and informed me that it didn't get shipped out until the 29th due to some severe weather UPS didn't do their normal pickup for three days, she said that UPS does have it now.

I got my Tejon back today and a note from the desk of "Rusty" The note reads something like this, (a little shortened)

"Hi Mark,
I know you were looking for the detector a little sooner, but in addition to the new trigger switch the coil was in need of re-tuning for optimum performance. That is a three day process and I just got it back for my final test today......Everything checks out good.

I've not got it unpacked yet or tested it, but I'm thinking its going to be good to go!

Well, at present I'm a little concern after un-boxing and testing the detector somewhat. It seems to work, but it wasn't really broken when I sent it in. The problem I'm faced with now is one of the two issues I sent it in for and that being the an audio response with both discrimination controls as you rotate them through the lower range, the detector will beep something like a poor target response. Disc one does it in a spot in the foil range and disc two does the same thing but a little lower on the scale (my other Tejon doesn't do this at all). At this point I sent Tesoro an email, not last night but the night before stating my concern/problem. I clearly listed this problem in the problem report that I had included with the detector and on one phone call with them I made mention of the noisy discrimination controls. If I don't get a reply or call from them today I guess I will have to call them back and see what gives. In my email I ask if the problem was something different in like the earlier vs the later models, I mean if its supposed to be that way then fine! but at this point I have one Tejon that does it and one that don't.

Out of the blue this evening I received a very friendly phone call from Rusty at Tesoro and it was about the discrimination control noise I mentioned. He told me that he had personally checked those and controls and the noise that I was talking about, he said that was more the "Norm" then ones with no noise when the controls were turned. He said when they are turned it effects a lot of electronics and its normal. He said that my Tejon checked out very well and he assured me its perfectly fine!
He was super friendly, patient with my questions. We also talked about the service fee's and he said that they never had any plans on making money on repairs but it became necessary to apply some charges to offset expenses involved in the handling, testing, parts, repairing, and return shipping. I told him that I had no complaints at all about the charge or the turnaround time for the service.
