...He said they have been told Ford is going to Portage,Wisconsin;to have Penda make their parts for their vehicles-A NON-UNION shop...That adds more fuel to the fire that Penda and Ford has had this planned for a LONG time-Get our OEM work(they told us when they bought us that we would be their OEM supplier);lay us all off,and close this facility...This location is a goldmine-There is something like 140 acres surrounding this facility;probly worth a fortune, and they will make a TON of money by selling this facility.I was looking around tonite here;thinking about how much Im going to miss it,and all my co-workers and foremen-Oct.1st would have been my 22nd year here-I wont be here when July17th(the shut-down date) gets here;as I will be having shoulder surgery on the 17th of June-I JUST HATE saying good-bye to everybody-BUT life goes on;and the LORD has plans for all of us........

down in Lansing there was a huge auto manufacturing plant. Sat along the river. Was very productive. I was past there about a year ago and the place has been bull dozed down to the foundation with piles upon piles of scrap metal to be hauled away. Was a sad thing to see and I never worked there. Reminded me of K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in the U.P. I was there twice for 4 years tours of duty...last time as a cop. Years later the base closed. Turned over to the county as an airport. I went there a few years back and I felt I was walking through a graveyard. Only car moving around was us. I was there when we had a population of about 30,000. What a difference. Broke my heart to see the place the way it was...empty.

If you get a chance, see the movie "The Langoliers" then think about way America was and is now.

Still praying for you and the family Steve.

Praying for all to find new jobs and that they and you will be provided for by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! God Bless! Betty

For every door that closes two or more open...

Guidqnce will come. Perhaps this is the break you need to make that move you always were afraid to make.

Kepp the faith, the Lord will provide.
