I think I got a penny error what do you think?

at first I noticed the D mintmark was all filled in, not sure if that is common or not, so I took a picture and blew it up and when I did I noticed doubling on the date you can see a definite doubling on the 9 and the 6 in 1968, can you see it? Is this a legit error coin?

I was thinking it was just my eyes, glad u see it too

Don't know if that is a double or not. I have some that look similar and they are just a shift in the die, but not a double strike. Most doubles have a distinct double image. Just my opinion, and you might want to chect with a good dealer to know for sure. If you ever get down to Winchester, Indiana, south of Ft. Wayne or route 27, go by Silver Towne and talk to Leon Hendrickson. He knows his stuff about coins, and you can get an hones opinion for free. Nice selection of coins also at good prices.
