I think it's time for First Texas to design/release a DD coil for CZ's...

I know I would buy one and many others...I can't imagine it would be hard to design/manufacture one...would "revive" the interest in CZ's for sure. A new CZ design with the "iron-liking" issue resolved would be a big seller for sure...albeit First Texas is probably way ahead of me on this, if not I hope you're listening...thanks and HH
 
Christopher, I am in the same boat as you, I would love to see a DD coil for my CZ5. I would put this detector against any made with it's stock 10 inch coil, and the DD would go way beyond that.
Now I just received the 12 inch after market Sunray coil (for a little over 200 dollars),and did my field test right away. I was not as satisfied with it as I had hoped. It may go about 2 1/2 inches deeper, but the signal at that depth is not a good repeatable signal, at least the kind of signal that I would typically dig. My stock 10 inch coil gives a strong repeatable signal on a Quarter at 11 inches, Where as the 12 inch coil gives the best repeatable signal at an inch to two less shallow (8-10 inches).
The coil is great for covering alot of ground as it will signal all the way out to the outer rim of the coil and it does pin-point as well as stock coils. I cannot say as to how it will react in different soil conditions, but cannot wait to try it in a large Relic filled Southern Field.
The weight of the coil is impressive, it is very light for it's size. The coil is a little lighter than the stock 10 incher. The 12 inch Sunray weighs 1 lb 9 ounces, and the 10 inch stock coil weighs 1 lb 12.3 ounces (both coils were weighed with the 7 foot cord). My assessment is not complete on this coil as I will have to try it in a number of conditions before I am satisfied. I am not saying anything good or bad about the coil as everyone has their own preference. All I know is that at $200 + dollars I hope to expect good things with it this detecting year.
