Another one bites the dust. The county here just banned all detecting in the large local park because someone with a full sized shovel tore up one of the playing fields and didn't fill the holes apparently. Now we're waiting to see if it's just the one park or all of them. The local club has said to avoid all the parks until that gets clarified.

This is what I find irritating... Instead of trespassing the culprit, they ban detecting altogether.
Yet, when people don't clean up after their dogs or let them run off leash, they don't prohibit pets. When people litter in the park, they don't ban picnics.
