I think my Explorer SE, has a problem. What should I do?

I have been using my Explorer SE, for about a month and I like it. Anyway, a couple days ago I noticed that the screen had a split in the line and text underneath the Smart find/ Digital words, And a split in the line and text above the pinpoint/iron mask indicators. The split kind of creates a ledge, and straight up the middle of the screen Numbers and text are offset. I have to turn the detector on and off to fix it. This doesn't happen every time I use the SE, but it happens enough that I, noticed it.
I also noticed that I sometimes get a flat battery signal on a full charge when switching modes. Any suggestions on what I should do? Should I wait and see if it stops(probably wont) or should I send it in to Minelab. And most importantly, has anyone else had these problems and how did it turn out for you? Did Minelab service come thru? I just want to be sure before I contact Minelab, This isn't my luck kicking in or if this is something they know and have dealt with.
Thanks so much in advance
Jason

Sounds like a similar thing that happened to Boony a while back.

Boony sent it back to Minelab, they were aware of what caused the problem,
fixed his SE under warranty, and now he seems very satisfied.

If you do a search for "Boony" under author, you can seek out his posts.
Here's a pic of the photo Boony posted at the time...

Hi Jason,

I would suggest you contact minelab as Snowy said, they must be aware that this split screen seems to be a problem with some of the new SE detectors, there has been quite a few people that have posted the same problem on this forum, so yours and mine are not isolated cases.
I had mine back within a week fitted with a new display and have had no problems with it since, in fact it's working exceptionally well and I am very pleased with it.
Lets know how you get on.

All the best.....Boony

Absolutly right. Any repeatable singnal is a good one. I have a periscope and they don't make them no more. I send that down everytime and it has taught me what is good and what is not! Think about it you can verify any singnal no matter what you hear and confirm what you have always suspected. I have and will not do with out. I think that they don't make them no more. It is a shame because it has given me the forsight to investigate shit I normally wouldn/i/ There for I learn my machine all the more. Contact me privately if you want to learn more. Scott
