I wanted a bigger screen so I bought an icon

i wanted to get an XP Icon because I like bigger screens. All of the pics of the icon model detectors looked as if the screen is bigger than on the Deus 2.

So when the packaged was dropped off by UPS I thought for sure it was definitely a larger remote than the Deus 2 is.

So I opened it and to my surprise it was a much smaller box inside than I expected.

I was really surprised to be honest!!

So here are some pics of it along with the Deus 2 remote.

Does it have a larger screen?? Well....kind of I guess being wider to accommodate the search profiles and depth meter.

The id numbers are not any bigger compared to the Deus 2 with the larger tid profile.

The backlight is brighter on the icon.

I am a little disappointed as in the manual and pdf brochure it does seem to be a larger remote

It is wider at least!

Interesting Tim---thanks for that info.---The TID (large) #s on the D2 look considerably larger than those on the Icon.----At least the Icon has a brighter backlight.------Del
