I was showing the T2 to a friend today and I tried setting my wedding band and a quarter on the ground...

first I set them about an inch apart. The T2 clearly signalled both targets. Then I moved them to nearly touching... still two clear targets. Next I put the ring up over the quarter about halfway up on the quarter... still two signals. Then I put the quarter on top of the ring, about halfway... still two signals...

The T2 won over a new fan today... he kept saying, "I really like this machine".

Way to go Teknetics!!!

So True Julien,

The T-2 does have a super fast recovery speed allowing it to detect two separate items very close to each other, I've only seen one other detector do well on separation and that is the Nautilus 2B, Only the Nautilus does not have target ID and can not handle poor mineralized ground.

Julien.....I may be wrong, but were you sweeping the search-head too close to he targets, and so getting the 'double-bleeping' that is generated by close target proximity?

Try the experiment again with just one item, with the coil sweeping as closely as before and note the double bleep effect.

The T2 separation is the best, but not for the wrong assumptions implied by your test.....Please do your test again with the search-head no closer than ....6 inches.??.....MattR.UK
