I was wondering about something

Why does minelab allow some companies to make after market accessories for some of their product line but not the xterra line. Or do companies make their minelab accessories through pirated technology from minelab on certain product lines that minelab can't control? I'm not saying there isn't enough accessories for my 705, there probably is. Just wondering aloud.

Xterra's V-Flex Smartcoil and the new FBS2 Smartcoil technologies are unique. Strict design and programming parameters need to be maintained to deliver the correct results. Minelab invested a considerable amount of time and capitol developing these technologies, and would like to manage/control their investment.
Simple as that.

I do not believe SunRay makes in-line pin-pointers any longer, for any machine. If I read correctly, the in stock items they had in stock were being saved/used for repairs.........Was a super item for my XS and E-Trac though!

I know they are no longer making them for the E-trac because the cost of the shafts or something along that line, but i wasn't aware of them no longer making them for any machine. Hope that's not true.

All probes listed on our website at www.sunraydetector.com on the menu to the left on the main page are still in production. Only the Minelab probes and a couple of Fisher probes have been discontinued. The parts you mentioned for repairs are X-1 related.
