I have an Ace 250
 
a Minelab Explorer II for old coins and relics, and a Fisher CZ-20 for water detecting. I recently sold me Tesoro Eldorado that I used for competition hunting.
 
I usually toss in the back of the van in case I happen to be lucky to get a quick hunt in while travelling. For detecting in the water I have a Tesoro Stingray.

The machines are useless if one doesn't know their machines well enough...they will always leave something behind for others to find.
 
I like the White's brand a lot. I have not have any problems with them at all. I am saving up to buy a White's DFX so I can give my 11 year old the XLT.

have only used White's Detectors also! The XLT is a great machine with its program setting that you can do yourself! I'v e found lots of coins and stuff with mine! I bought it in the early 80's and I'm still using it when I am able too, but don't get out much any more! Good luck in getting the DFX and using it! May you and the family find lots of coins and stuff together and when hunting alone! God is Good.....Give Him praise and thanks in all things, always!

White's Detectors, so don't know much about any others! I use White's Spectrum XLT and have found lots and lots with it, when there were any coins to find, after the early birds got through getting theirs! :thumbdown: I like to use my own program settings! Helps me not to dig so much while hunting, but maybe that's why I don't find the diamond rings! :cry: And yet, too tiresome on this ole woman! :blink:
