..Up to Presque Isle;North of Alpena,Michigan-Where my wife and I go in the summer camping.A LOT of Lake Huron is open,ice-free out in the deep part.Where we go swimming up there;it is a bay closed in on both sides.Ice was piled up from the beach as far as you could see to open water-Looked like about 3-4 miles.I told my wife"NO WONDER that water is not very warm when we are there in July-ITS ICE MELT!!"
As for snow,they didnt have any more on the ground than us in West Branch-Less than a foot-LAST YAER there was 3-feet easily on the ground here!!!
