Wrapping the coil wire tight to the shaft NO movement with flexible silicon wrap.
I have only used this on land and not in the surf yet it is to cold here, I will hit the ocean in the spring
to see if it also helps the sound of waves passing.
 
Wrapping the coil wire is fine on the Infinium now, it is unnessesary to go straight up shaft as Garrett a few years ago beefed up the coil wires to where this is not needed anymore.
