I went on a real treasure adventure, to Jacko cave.

Jacko cave is behind the tavern. All the articles couldn't say exactly where the cave is or even if it really existed. There are many stories about the place. One story says the inn keeper killed rich people and buried their money behind the inn. This is one article I found.

We had to talk to the locals to get the exact location of the cave. The site of the tavern has a 4 lane road over it now.
A steep climb up the hill and it looks like we had found it.

I was stopped by a guard at the entrance to the cave. He wasn't too happy about my visit and wouldn't move

Today I found the worst soil for MD'ing in. It was red and full of iron from the surrounding rock. I had trouble getting the Ace to quiet down. My back was against the back of the cave when I took this picture. There was a room to my left.

I than found creatures in the cave. Cave Crickets!! Just bump into them with your head and they would fall down your your neck. I KNOW. It has happened in other caves I have been in. I have seen them 4" thick n top of each other.

When we got home we noticed marking on the walls in the pictures we took. There was a lot of dirt that fill the cave over the years and there could be a lot of stuff down deep. It was all hard wet clay.
I found tells of newer visitors to the cave, PULL TABS! The dime is for reference. This is the only relic and the memory of the adventure. Hey, I had fun.

Looks like a good place to go back to.

Sounds like a good place to ex cave vate. Might have to arm up with the 2500 and the Treasure hound coil!

Spelunkers beware. There are other things inthose caves besides Cave Crickets. They make a buzzing sound. :) If you walk into a cave like that and it smells likewatermelon back out slowly. Too bad you couldn't have stumbled upon something.
