too bad the salt did such an injustice to this coin..can't even tell the date, although I know it was minted 1838-1891
 
Wow cool seated!!!! No its not a Capped Bust, but its still old!!!!:thumbup:
 
Congrats, Lorraine, and sorry it is not in better shape, but a Seated Liberty is an old coin and it is silver and you can get some $ for it! Thought it might be a pc of eight or a bust and then happy you sure would be but take them as they come, as you have no other choice! :rofl:
