I Won't Be Able to Keep it All! What do you do?

Hello to all! Although my wife would probably like to keep my ring finds what do you folks do with the rings you find that are in good shape with good stones? I haven't made a purchase yet for a detector as I am reading the many posts, (and learned to ask questions), but recently bought a group of gold and silver rings. I sold some for scrap but the three gold ones I kept are pretty nice, one large size 9 1/2 10K with huge stone, one size 6 14K with small saphires and diamond in the center, and one size 6 18K with pearl. I believe the 18K is over 150 years old which a jeweler confirmed as well as another source. I can't keep everything I plan on finding, (optimistic), so what to do with the rest? Thanks for your advice and suggestions!

This will be a challenge! Thought I should practice posting a few photos for all my upcoming finds! Here goes my first try at the rings I mentioned above, sort of feel funny as I didn't find them with a detector, hope no-one minds! Thats the big one, size 9 1/2!I'm told stone is "synthectic" but flawless!Detail on the 18K is amazing!

I couldn't sell these for scrap! Hopefully my pics worked! Wow, I previewed my post and looks good! Look forward to replies on what to do with "better than scrap" finds!

If you want to capitalize on your hobby, you can always e-bay the good rings(if you like ebay). Won't cost much to ship them!

Many people scrap to Midwest Refineries, you can sell on ebay, ask friends and family who may be interested, local detecting clubs are also a place to sell some goods, There are also several detecting forums with classified forums. Or you could just send it to me! :) Just kidding! :)

be able to seel the old one with no trouble. You could also offer to trade for detecting stuff?

in jewelry is the more valuable stones have more prongs to hold them in.
And after a few years and you have dug many gold things will you keep them all ? It's something you have to decide. My wife & close relatives get some that I dig but the majority go to Midwest Refinery. steve in so az

Good points and good advice! Although I am becoming more involved with this hobby I wouldn't want to keep everything although I would probably display some things in cases. MIKE in MI, hey a little humor is always good!, but I think I might try your other advice about eBay! I also like the trading idea, a local dealer just called me with a used Whites Surfmaster PI, it is not the Pro model and he isn't sure of the age as it was a trade-in on a new model. He is not a Whites dealer but was thinking around 300.00. I'll take a peek on eBay and see what it look likes for Jewelry. I have sold on eBay before other items but never tried jewelry, good point about the cheap shipping! Thanks again everyone!
