ICE (In Case of Emergency)

Pete in MI

New member
[size=medium]OK Word of advice everyone should heed at this point...If you carry a cellphone add an entry called ICE and put the number of whoever you want notified in case of emergency (ICE).

Paramedics and hospitals now look for ICE on your cellphone as it helps them get more info about you and also notify your emergency contact that there has been an accident.

You can have more than one ICE contact. What I have done is added and dot (.) in front of ICE for my contacts so they appear before ALL other contacts in my cell phone contacts list. If seconds count to save my life, I want the emergency personnel to find the ICE entry easily and not have to search through all the contacts from A - I until they finally find ICE.

Hope no one ever needs a paramedic or hospital emergency room to have to look for it but saves time if you have it and they find it easily.
