ID Excel A Great Detector

I think the ID Excel is one of the most underrated units in the Fischer lineup. This detector reminds me of the the old Compass 94B.This less expensive metal detector in the obsolete Compass lineup just did everything as well or better than their more expensive models. Before buying I went shopping at a Fischer dealer I asked the dealer to show me an ID Excel. The dealer seemed less than enthusiastic showing and demonstrating this detector. The dealer presented this detector as being lame and that for the price an Edge would be much better. The ID Excel that I purchased has been a great detector it is very user friendly, light, great depth and a buzz saw through thrash. The dealer did lose a sale I endedup buying a used one.In the field this detector is esay to use and just works well.
